Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join our bar and tavern team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, including dishwashing and general sanitation. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in both food preparation and keeping a clean, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner during service
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and taste
  • Follow all food safety and handling procedures

Dishwashing & Cleaning

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans throughout shift
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, floors, and workstations
  • Take out trash and recycling as needed
  • Assist with closing duties, including deep cleaning tasks
  • Keep dish area organized and stocked with clean items

Kitchen Operations

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Qualifications
  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
