BATTERY PARK, NYC — A busy, high-achieving family is seeking a FULL-TIME NANNY (LIVE-IN OR LIVE-OUT FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES) to join their household and become a true partner in caring for their two young boys, ages 2 and 4 years old. This is an exceptional opportunity for a polished, professional nanny; ideally with a background or strong knowledge in child nutrition, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and takes pride in running a seamless, organized, and joyful home. The general schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility for evenings and occasional weekends, as both parents have demanding careers in finance and value a nanny who is adaptable, dependable, and fully present. The family is offering a generous compensation package of approximately $150,000 annually, inclusive of overtime, along with paid sick days, paid holidays, paid vacation, and a health insurance stipend. For live-in candidates, accommodations include a private alcove space with a full-size bed in their beautiful Battery Park home, surrounded by parks and within close proximity to the children’s school, conveniently located in their building.
The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, highly organized, and confident in a full-charge role, with the ability to take initiative and manage the day-to-day flow of the children’s lives with minimal direction. Mornings will include preparing nutritious breakfasts and getting the children ready for school, followed by time during the day for child-related household tasks, menu planning, grocery coordination, and light meal prep, or personal downtime before school pickup at 2:45 PM. Afternoons are centered around active, hands-on engagement; outings to nearby parks, classes, and enrichment, before preparing balanced, thoughtful dinners and handling bath time so the children are settled by the time the parents return home. A strong understanding of toddler nutrition is highly valued, particularly for navigating picky eating, introducing new foods, and fostering healthy habits, as well as safely managing a peanut allergy, including proper EpiPen use.
The family would greatly value a nanny who knows New York City well and can confidently navigate the city; someone who is comfortable utilizing public transportation, coordinating outings, and taking full advantage of all the parks, activities, and resources the city has to offer. Travel is required, including extended stays such as the month of August in Martha’s Vineyard, and the ability to confidently run the household independently while parents are traveling is essential.
This family is seeking someone who is not only kind, nurturing, and deeply invested in the children’s well-being, but also professional, respectful, and aligned with the parents’ preferences and boundaries. A strong communicator who is receptive to feedback, solutions-oriented, and collaborative in approach will thrive in this role. The right candidate will bring structure, positivity, and a genuine love of working with children—someone who can keep up with an energetic, social 4-year-old and a sweet, curious, and independent 2-year-old, while maintaining organization and consistency behind the scenes. This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for a career nanny who values partnership, autonomy, and excellence in their work!
