Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and capable of engaging with diverse customers, including multilingual populations. Your contributions will help create a welcoming shopping environment and drive sales through excellent customer interactions.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries both in person and over the phone
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
• Process sales transactions efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in cash handling and receipt issuance
• Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards on the sales floor, ensuring products are well-organized and appealing
• Provide product information and technical sales support when needed, including basic troubleshooting or explaining product features
• Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as required
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to assist customers remotely or via inquiries
• Support team members with organizational tasks to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred but not required
• Multilingual skills or bilingual ability (English plus additional languages) is a plus
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
• Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and transaction processing
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail merchandising practices
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills to keep work areas tidy and stock levels accurate
• Experience in upselling techniques and product demos is advantageous
• Reliable, professional appearance, with excellent customer service orientation
