Classroom Environment and Instruction

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
• Create a warm, structured classroom environment that promotes exploration, independence, and learning through play
• Use positive guidance strategies to support behavior and social emotional development
• Adapt activities to meet the needs of mixed age groups and children with diverse learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum

Child Development and Assessment

• Observe and document children’s progress using informal and formal assessment tools
• Support language development, fine and gross motor skills, and early cognitive skills
• Use ongoing assessments to guide instruction and individualized support

Health, Safety, and Supervision

• Maintain active supervision at all times to ensure children’s safety
• Follow all licensing regulations, health policies, and sanitation procedures
• Support daily routines including meals, diapering, toileting, and transitions

Family Engagement and Communication

• Communicate daily with families using Brightwheel and in person interactions
• Build positive relationships with families and provide updates on children’s development
• Support family engagement activities and center events and other duties as assigned
