Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and experienced male Water-Ski to join our Waterfront Team for Summer 2026. This role combines water-ski / wakeboarding instruction with being a cabin counselor, making it ideal for someone who loves working with children and being on the water.
Key Responsibilities
Waterfront / Waterski Duties
Instruct campers in waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding.
Ensure all waterfront activities operate safely and follow camp procedures.
Assist campers of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
Drive camp boats (once licensed) for lessons and activity sessions.
Conduct equipment checks and help maintain boats, skis, boards, and safety gear.
Enforce all waterfront safety standards.
Cabin Counselor Duties
Live in a cabin with 8–12 campers alongside 2–3 co-counselors.
Supervise daily routines including wake-ups, meals, activities, and bedtime.
Support campers’ emotional wellbeing and social development.
Participate in evening programs, special events, and camp traditions.
Act as a positive role model and create a fun, inclusive cabin environment.
Required Qualifications
Strong swimmer (required).
Ability to pass a Lifeguarding Test (upon arrival if not already certified in NY).
Ability to pass a Boating License Test.
Previous boating/driving experience required.
Experience in at least one of the following:
Waterskiing
Wakeboarding
Kneeboarding
Experience working with children is preferred.
Energetic, patient, and safety-minded.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $2,700 – $3,000 for the summer (based on experience).
Travel costs covered to and from camp.
