We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate individual to provide 1:1 support for an elementary school-aged boy so he can safely and fully enjoy his summer at YMCA camp.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone pursuing a career in education, healthcare, therapy, or child development — and a great summer position for responsible high school seniors or college students with relevant experience.

           

            Hours: 7:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

            Pay: $17-18/hour

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 supervision and support throughout the camp day
  • Assist with participation in camp activities (sports, swimming, crafts, outdoor play)
  • Ensure safety and monitor for medical needs
  • Support social interactions with peers
  • Communicate effectively with parents and camp staff
  • Provide transportation if needed (valid driver’s license required)

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children (required)
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder (preferred)
  • Experience with seizure disorders (preferred)
  • Background in healthcare, special education, therapy, or related field (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Patient, attentive, and dependable
