We’re Beck & Bulow, a Santa Fe butcher shop (which began in 2018 as a garage-based business selling at local farmers’ markets) to deliver premium, ethically raised meats without compromise. We started by raising American bison and expanded to grass-fed and wagyu beef, elk, wild boar, heritage pork, lamb, poultry, and wild-caught seafood—all raised free of antibiotics, hormones, and fillers. At our shop on 1934 Cerrillos Road (voted #1 in Santa Fe), we hand-cut, vacuum-seal, and package for local pickup and nationwide shipping to all 50 states. We’ve served over 100,000 customers and supplied more than 1,000 restaurants, and we’re scaling up with significant ranch expansions and new projects on deck. 🌱

Job Basics 📋
Full-time, 40 hours per week (some flexibility possible for strong candidates)
Starting pay: $16–$20 per hour based on experience, with raises tied to performance and skill growth.
Must be 18+
Previous customer service or sales experience required (butchering experience not required—we train thoroughly)

Daily Responsibilities 🔪
Customer service & sales: Engage customers directly, understand their needs, recommend cuts, and explain the quality and sourcing advantages
Product preparation: Cut steaks, portion seafood/cheese, label, vacuum-seal, handle charcuterie
Inventory & presentation: Keep displays stocked, organized, and appealing
Cleaning & safety: Maintain a sanitary workspace and adhere to HACCP, USDA, and SERVSAFE standards
Team support: Assist with daily operations, complete assigned tasks, and help keep the shop running efficiently
Order fulfillment: Pack and prepare shipping and pickup orders
Primary emphasis is on reliable teamwork and consistent customer service. Other duties (advanced butchering, inventory management, marketing support) are added with training as you progress depending on your personal skills and interests.

Schedule 🗓️
Full availability Monday–Saturday 8:30 AM–6:30 PM and Sundays 9:30 AM–5:30 PM
Sunday availability is required (one of our busiest days)

Solid customer service track record and comfort in direct sales interactions
Genuine interest in quality meat and ability to speak knowledgeably about our products vs. conventional options
Strong work ethic, hands-on approach, and commitment to finishing tasks properly
Clear communication, good listening skills, attention to detail, and ability to take direction and feedback
Calm, professional demeanor during peak hours
Enthusiasm for the brand and willingness to represent it authentically
Being an existing Beck & Bulow customer is a definite plus—we prefer people who already know and trust the product.
