2026 SUMMER STUDIO CAMP COUNSELOR DESCRIPTION
My Architecture Workshops Inc. is a 6-week Architecture, Engineering, Construction S.T.E.A.M. summer program for K-8 students.
We are hiring Studio Counselors for our in-person program located in Stamford, CT. Our team members are passionate and creative people who believe in the Architecture Workshops mission: To inspire and make the world of architecture and design accessible for all children.
Benefits: ● All program curriculum and materials are provided (counselors are required to provide one original 30 min workshop). ●Intern AXP hours for NCARB certification. ● Compensation: $18 per hour. ● Weekly lunch with local architect firms for networking.
Our full-day program (8:30 am – 4:30 pm), will run from Mon, June 29, 2026, to Friday, August 07, (Closed July 3) 2026. Students are divided into three age groups: Grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8.
Program Topics may Include: Architecture/ Graphic Design / Construction / Physics & Structures / Model Making / Sketching and Painting / Lego Building / 3D Printing. There is also an outdoor component where children participate in sketching, play, and a weekly tennis, baseball & basketball sports clinic.
Requirements Include:
● Previous counselor experience (working with children 5-12 (preferred) proactive, energetic and great at keeping kids engaged.
● Knowledge of Architecture, Design, Construction, Engineering, or Trade Program (preferred)
On-site construction experience a plus
● 3D Printing experience (from design to print) Sketch Up and Revit
● Architecture Model Making experience (preferred)
● Participate in all program activities, adhere to program standards, and camp policies. ● Personable, friendly, reliable, committed, focused, and communicative.
● Current Child CPR/ First Aid Certifications (preferred).
● Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the start of the program.
● Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment.
● Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, June 29 - August 06.
Must be able to commit for all six weeks, and attend online and in-person orientations.
