Senior Living Systems is IMMEDIATELY hiring Assisted Living Resident Care Attendants for full-time/part-time positions This is a locally-owned assisted living program located in Los Lunas, NM. Resident Care Attendants deliver efficient and effective non-medical care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction. This individual must have a demonstrated passion to work with the elderly. We would love to learn about your background and interests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shows a loving, caring attitude with residents, families, and other staff members at all times.
Communicates clearly and appropriately.
Assists residents with bathing, grooming, and personal needs.
Assists residents in dressing or undressing
Assists residents in moving around or transferring from bed, chair, wheelchair, or commode.
Assists residents to and from the dining room during meal times
Assists residents in planned activities in which they wish to participate.
Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and quiet environment throughout the facility.
Provides resident care in a manner conducive to safety and comfort
Assist resident with or performs Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Positions residents in correct body alignment in and out of bed
Records resident's ADL Performance
Uses Standard precautions when caring for all residents.
Knowledgeable of and implements all safety, universal precautions, and Company policies/procedures for the protection of residents, co-workers, and self


PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE, AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Walking, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching
Ability to communicate with residents, families, and personnel.
Ability to remain calm under stress.
Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
Ability to read and write in English.


SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.
Be at least 17 years of age
Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn.
Completes required continuing education.
This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well being of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs
Must be able to pass a background check
