We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusicatic individual to join our team as an Aftercare Counselor. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with school-age children, values safety and mentorship, and can help foster a positive and supportive after-school environment.

Qualifications:

*COMPLETED ALL 45 DCF hours

*Can pass a Background Check (you will be required to get screened upon hire)

* Must know basic elementary math and reading to help during homework session

*Must be flexible and have great work ethic

*We need someone who is Dependable and Shows up to work

We are looking for staff who can:

*Maintain open communication with children, staff and parents

*Have a great amount of patience and know the difference between being stern( when needed) and consistent vs mean, or rude (which is intolerable in our program)

*Assist children with homework and encourage good study habits

*Supervise and engage children ages 5-12 in a safe, nuturing environment

*Be a positive mentor and role model for childen

*Prepare and serve healthy snacks each day

*Be Respectful and a Team Player with Management, Staff, and Parents

Overall:

*Be ready to have fun!

*You will be asked to perform several task and must be able to without hesitation

*Keep work environment clean with daily cleaning and monthly cleanings
*Willing to work with any age depending on where the need is necessary

**Salary depends on experience and credentials**

Job Type: Part Time: (Full time on days out of school)

Part time Shift: 12:30pm-6:00pm, 1:00pm-6:00pm, 2pm-6pm, or 2:30pm-6pm

Looking for full time? You are able to get a position as a Floater/Teacher Assistant in our preschool program in the morning and aftercare in the afternoon.

Full time: 8:30am-5:30pm, 8:45am-6:00pm, or 9am-6pm
