Business Development Associate
Support the launch of emerging brands within the sales and incubation program . Work with local retail chains, restaurants, hotels and independents to obtain retail authorizations and secure premium placements.
Main responsibilities:
Weekly account visits
In these visits, the primary objective is to secure additional authorizations / placements for the incubation brands
o Pay special attention to top accounts as defined and developed with the NorCal team over the course of your role
Build relationships with the key Incubation independent retailers throughout Northern
California
o Identify additional retailers which fit the sales and Incubation program criteria
o Route your trade visits efficiently and maximize the amount of account visits / outbound calls per day logically
Keep all relevant Point of Sale Marketing Material from each portfolio brand on-hand and place accordingly in stores throughout our coverage
Ensure Incubation brands are in the best possible position on shelf to maximize sell through; trade marketing is equally as important. Brands must represent well on shelf to succeed and drive sales velocity
Track authorizations / placements in the field
Record data by account. Be organized and make the information readily available to the rest of the team. Fill out Repsly reports to illustrate store level insights and feedback on pull rate.
Participate in weekly / bi-weekly brand calls as needed
Contribute ideas to the commercialization of products / brands packaging & marketing
Keep brands afloat of progress in the field and be ready to report wins and losses
Note any feedback from retailers / customers and share with portfolio brand partners during weekly calls on PowerPoint and Excel
Schedule days to work with our brand partners in the field. (Some brands are more apt to participate than others. These days are crucial to the success of the Strikepoint brands)
Conduct 'ride-along' with brand teams
Introduce key Strikepoint independent retailers to our brand partners if fitting and help foster these relationships between vendor and supplier
Report Consistently through mechanisms that enable data and progress simplification
Track all wins to share internally in decks and spreadsheets with Mercenary team and externally with important business partners such investors, strategics, and more
