TWIN CITIES, MN — A warm, highly engaged and thoughtfully organized family in the Twin Cities is seeking a full-time, live-out Family Assistant/Nanny to support their four children (ages 9, 7, almost 6, and 4.5 years old) in a structured, emotionally attuned home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a grounded, experienced career nanny who thrives in a collaborative household and enjoys bringing calm leadership, organization, and developmental awareness into daily family life.
This family values consistency, emotional intelligence, and proactive organization, and is seeking a nanny who can provide steady guidance and structure while fostering each child’s growth and confidence. The ideal candidate is calm, physically active, highly organized, and experienced supporting neurodiverse children, with a natural ability to anticipate needs and maintain a predictable and nurturing environment.
The children are bright, engaging, and full of personality. The 9-year-old daughter is independent and thoughtful, enjoying dance, creative projects, and meaningful one-on-one connection. The 7-year-old daughter, who has high-functioning ASD, is intelligent and perceptive and thrives with routine, clear expectations, and calm, respectful communication. The almost 6-year-old son is energetic and creative, benefiting from movement, outdoor play, and structured redirection, while the 4.5-year-old daughter is affectionate and imaginative, responding well to warmth, encouragement, and consistent routines.
The nanny will work within a well-run household that emphasizes structure and predictability, collaborating closely with parents and professionals as needed. In addition to childcare, the role includes family assistant responsibilities such as children’s laundry, preparing school uniforms and backpacks, grocery runs and light meal preparation, organizing children’s spaces, and maintaining order between housekeeping visits. The family maintains clear systems and appreciates a nanny who enjoys creating and maintaining organization.
The schedule is consistent and predictable, with hours Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM–9:00 AM for morning routines and school drop-off, returning 1:30 PM–7:00 PM for school pick-up, activities, homework support, dinner preparation, and evening routines. There is a mid-day break from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM, and the schedule also includes Sundays from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM. Flexibility is appreciated when needed, but maintaining a steady daily rhythm is a priority. Again, that is a work schedule Sunday-Thursday, FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS OFF.
The ideal candidate is a career nanny seeking a long-term role, with prior experience supporting children with autism or sensory needs. The family is looking for someone who is emotionally steady, proactive, athletic, and highly organized, with the ability to remain calm and confident in a busy household. A nanny who enjoys outdoor activities year-round, is a strong swimmer, and is comfortable collaborating with therapists and support professionals will thrive in this role.
This is a live-out position ideally beginning March 9 (flexible for the right candidate) with a warm, respectful family seeking a long-term partnership with the right caregiver. Pay is commensurate based on experience with PTO and additional benefits to be discussed.
