About MBHS

McMillan Behavioral Health and Addiction Services (MBHS) is a values‑driven, trauma‑informed group practice based in Ferndale, Michigan. We provide culturally responsive care rooted in empowerment, strengths‑based perspectives, and LGBTQ+ affirming practice. Our work focuses on individuals, couples, and communities who have historically been marginalized, with a particular focus on serving Queer clients and those impacted by systemic inequities. As my practice grows, I am committed to expanding access to high‑quality mental health care for underserved and rural communities across Michigan.

At MBHS, we believe healing is relational, embodied, and shaped by the lived experiences clients carry with them. As the founder, I am deeply committed to addressing the trauma that continues to affect marginalized communities—including the impacts of systemic oppression, racialized harm, and identity‑based discrimination. We are seeking clinicians who share a passion for inclusive, justice‑oriented practice and who are excited to help broaden our services to children, adolescents, trans and gender‑expansive individuals, and others navigating stigmatized mental health concerns. If you are motivated to support diverse communities and contribute to a practice grounded in compassion, integrity, and social justice, we would love to connect.

Position Overview

MBHS is seeking compassionate, growth‑oriented clinicians who are committed to providing affirming, trauma‑informed care. We welcome applications from fully licensed LMSWs with an existing caseload, newly licensed LLMSWs eager to build their clinical foundation within a supportive group practice, and independently licensed LPCs who are paneled and actively seeing clients.

This position is ideal for therapists who feel called to work with complex trauma, relational dynamics, identity‑centered stress, and the nuanced experiences of marginalized communities. We are especially interested in clinicians who can offer Telehealth services to clients across Michigan, including those in rural regions where access to affirming mental health care remains limited. If you are passionate about expanding access, deepening your clinical skills, and contributing to a values‑driven practice, we would be honored to connect with you.
