About Us:

Music for Families, Inc. is independently owned and has been serving families in Silicon Valley since 1999. Our mission is to offer families a joyful, interactive experience through music and movement classes. We offer Music Together® (birth to 5 years old) and Rhythm Kids® (5-8 years old). We hold classes in Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and Los Altos.

What You’ll Do:

● Lead weekly music and movement classes for children and their families, incorporating singing, rhythm, and basic rhythm instrument play.

● Create a warm, welcoming environment that encourages creativity, social development, and a love of music, providing families with a joyful experience.

What We’re Looking For:

● Music and movement enthusiasts with a passion for teaching.

● Energetic, outgoing individuals who are comfortable leading groups and engaging young children in musical activities.

● Must be able to sing in tune with accurate rhythm.

● Experience with young children is a plus.

● Applicants with backgrounds in theater, music, dance, early childhood education, music therapy, or child development are encouraged to apply.

● Part-time hours (2-10 hours per week). Available to teach in the morning or late afternoon, with a particular need for Saturday or Sunday mornings. The schedule is stable from September to May.

Compensation:

● Lead teachers start at $45 per class.

● Teacher apprenticeships are paid $20 per class until fully trained.

● Prerequisite: passing the Music Together training (education training hours are not

compensated).
