Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional - Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities needing to live fulfilling, independent lives. This energetic and compassionate role involves taking the individual out to the community and fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Help commute individual to and from recreational activities and social engagements to promote mental well-being and community involvement
• Ensure proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained
• Follow emergency procedures including CPR and First Aid protocols to ensure safety during incidents or health crises
• Help ensure individual's safety at all times

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, social workers, families, and residents to deliver comprehensive support
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a MUST to respond effectively during emergencies

REQUIRED:

A valid driver's license - Good driving record (3 Year Driving Record Needed)

Reliable transportation and valid car insurance

Active DDA Certification

Active CMT Certificaton

Active CPR/First Aid Certification

MandT Certificate (Can be aquired later)

Blood Borne Pathogen

Ability to pass background check

High energy

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Shift: 9am to 2pm
