Our small practice is looking to add another pediatric occupational therapist for a contracted 1099 position with potential to add hours as the caseload grows. We are looking for availability on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for clinic treatments. (Hourly rate for clinic sessions is $65-$75).

We also have availability for early intervention treatment in the home and daycare setting through Babies Can't Wait with flexible scheduling throughout the week. (Hourly rate for home/daycare therapy sessions is $70-$80.)

We have OTs and PTs to collaborate on treatment strategies for our patients. We do want a candidate who is able to have fun and has a family-centered approach to treatment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and a passion for helping children and families achieve their maximum potential and optimal occupational performance. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children with the following diagnoses: Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and global developmental delay. Experience with feeding is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical and social/emotional health to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving daily living skills and enhancing independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, with an emphasis on sensory based treatment intervention

Requirements

  • A valid Occupational Therapist license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with treating children from a Trauma Informed perspective is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through tailored therapeutic approaches.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to ethical standards in occupational health practices.
