Overview

Join the Ready Steady Goal team and help young children discover the joy of soccer!
We’re a growing youth soccer program serving Chicago suburbs (Itasca, Addison, Wheeling and nearby areas) — and we’re looking for energetic, caring, and reliable coaches who love working with kids.

As a Youth Soccer Coach, you’ll lead fun, structured sessions that build coordination, confidence, teamwork, and early soccer skills in a playful, positive environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on children’s growth through movement, creativity, and sport.

Responsibilities

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Lead exciting, age-appropriate soccer sessions for children 18 months – 8 years old.
• Follow the Ready Steady Goal curriculum that includes warm-ups, movement games, soccer fundamentals, goal-scoring challenges, and friendly scrimmages.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere where every child feels successful.
• Communicate warmly with parents and daycare/school staff about schedules, progress, and achievements.
• Use positive reinforcement and behavior-management techniques that match early childhood needs.
• Represent Ready Steady Goal with professionalism, enthusiasm, and care.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe field or indoor conditions before each class.
• Participate in seasonal events, free intro days, and team meetings to help our program grow.

Requirements

• Love for working with young children — patience, kindness, and creativity are a must!
• Basic knowledge of soccer (fundamentals, drills, movement games). Experience in teaching, childcare, or youth sports is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Comfortable communicating in English (knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian is a bonus).
• Ability to lead 30-50 minute sessions indoors or outdoors.
• Background check and CPR/SafeSport certification or willingness to obtain them.

• $20 – $30 per session based on experience, plus growth opportunities as the program expands.
