The Black Lens is looking for someone for about 30–40 hours a month, at $25–$30/hour, and they must have proficiency in Adobe InDesign.

The Black Lens is seeking a Part-Time Layout Designer to support our publication’s visual storytelling and design needs.

Responsibilities

• Design layouts for print and digital editorial content
• Collaborate with the editorial team to meet publication deadlines
• Ensure consistency with The Black Lens' branding, marketing, and visual standards
• Prepare files for production and publication

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating layout skills
• Coursework and/or experience in Mass Communications or Media Design
• Highly deadline- and detail-oriented
• Ability to commit 30–40 hours per month
• Comfortable working remotely within Pacific Standard Time hours
• College students are encouraged to apply
