Location: Various outdoor locations (parks, trails, schools)
Schedule: Weekdays after school and/or weekends
Pay: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
About Little Hammies
Little Hammies is a kids bike program focused on building confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of riding bikes. From Learn-to-Ride programs to bike camps, after-school programs, and races, we create fun, safe, and encouraging environments for kids of all abilities.
The Role
We’re looking for energetic, responsible, and kid-loving coaches to help lead our bike programs. As a Little Hammies Coach, you’ll work directly with kids (typically ages 3–10), teaching bike skills, encouraging progress, and making every session fun and positive.
No racing or elite cycling background required—just a passion for bikes, kids, and outdoor play.
Responsibilities
Lead and assist kids bike programs (learn-to-ride, camps, races, after-school programs)
Create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for all riders
Teach basic bike skills, balance, braking, and trail awareness
Encourage confidence, sportsmanship, and positive behavior
Set up and break down equipment (cones, bikes, signage, etc.)
Communicate clearly with parents and fellow coaches
Represent Little Hammies professionally and enthusiastically
Qualifications
Enjoy working with kids and being active outdoors
Comfortable riding a bike and demonstrating basic skills
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to manage small groups of kids
Prior experience with kids (coaching, teaching, childcare, camps) is a plus
Bike knowledge is helpful but not required—we provide training
