Position Type:

About LoveSetMatch
LoveSetMatch is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization that believes tennis is better when it’s shared. Our mission is to inspire and empower youth through sports while building community, confidence, and healthy lifestyles. We run joyful, welcoming tennis programs in neighborhoods across Los Angeles—where kids, families, coaches, and volunteers grow together.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Tennis Coach who loves the game and enjoys being part of a caring, supportive community. At LoveSetMatch, coaching is about more than forehands and footwork—it’s about showing up with heart, encouraging young players, and being part of a team that truly looks out for one another.
You’ll work alongside kind nonprofit coworkers, passionate volunteers, and grateful families who make each session feel more like a community gathering than a job.
What You’ll Be Doing
Teaching fun, engaging beginner-to-intermediate tennis lessons for kids and teens
Bringing our STEM-based tennis curriculum to life through games and movement
Creating a positive, inclusive environment where every player feels welcome
Encouraging effort, sportsmanship, and confidence (high-fives encouraged!)
Helping with simple court setup and equipment
Connecting with families and fellow coaches in a warm, professional way
Being a positive role model on and off the court
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Enjoy working with kids and being part of a community
Have tennis experience (playing or coaching at any level)
Are reliable, kind, and communicative
Believe sports can change lives
Like working outdoors and being active
Bonus points if you:
Have coached youth before or worked in community programs
Speak Spanish (not required, just appreciated!)
Are studying education, kinesiology, sports science, or a related field
Schedule & Commitment
Programs typically run after school, evenings, or weekends
Sessions are about 1.5–2 hours
We love coaches who can commit to a full program cycle (6–10 weeks), but we’re flexible and human
Compensation
Stipend-based or hourly pay, based on experience
Opportunities for more hours and leadership roles
Strong references and real community impact
Why You’ll Love Coaching with LoveSetMatch
You’ll join a kind, mission-driven team that supports one another
You’ll make a real difference in East LA youth communities
You’ll build meaningful relationships—with players and fellow coaches
You’ll leave the court smiling (and maybe a little sweaty 😄)
