The head seamstress or tailor will drive the quality and productivity of the sewing team. It is their responsibility to make sure their team is a great performing team, happy, fast, and at a quality level that will delight our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES 10+ Years of experience in sewing knitwear and activewear and 5 years of team leader experience of a team of over 10 people. Part of daily work is assigning the team members to the most optimal operation, for timely delivery to our customers, setting benchmarks, and ensuring those are met. Help build a positive culture of continuous improvement, and learning for all team members. Set and maintain quality standards. TECHNICAL SKILLS Master at operating various machines like Coverstitch, Sergers, Flatlock, and others. Experience in basic maintenance like oil, needle, and thread change for sewing machines Experience in sewing Zippers/Buttonholes/Trims/elastic and other accessories Understanding of patterns and fit specifications, preferably in 3D as well Understanding of Tech pack, Construction Sheet and Fitting of the product Knowledge of technical aspects of Industrial Sewing machines Should be able to visually inspect and document reports on a daily basis Experience in sample making and prototypes (Knit & Woven fabric) PERSONAL SKILLS Go-getter that can lead a team to great results. Have good didactical skills so new team members can learn quick
