About the Role:
The Rectory Detroit is seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is central to delivering consistently excellent pizzas and supporting overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in crafting high-quality food with care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pizza Making: Handcraft pizzas to order using house-made dough and thoughtfully prepared ingredients. Ensure each pie meets quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Prep Work: Prepare pizza ingredients and other components (chopping, portioning, sauces, dough) for efficient service.
    Salad & Cold Station: Assemble fresh, well-balanced salads and support cold station duties as needed.
    Expo & Carry-Out: Run expo station to ensure all orders are complete, accurate, and promptly served. Assist with carry-out window and process transactions.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow food safety protocols and kitchen cleanliness standards.
  • Team Support: Assist with general kitchen duties including dishwashing, bussing tables, and restocking stations.

Qualifications:

  • Prior kitchen experience preferred, especially in pizza-focused or high-volume environments.
  • Familiarity with dough handling, pizza ovens, and ingredient prep is a plus.
  • Strong multitasking ability and time management skills.
  • Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
