We are seeking a dependable and organized Prep Cook to support kitchen operations in a high-end fish market and restaurant. The ideal candidate will assist with daily preparation of fish and seafood items and maintain high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with daily prep: cutting, cleaning, portioning, and storing seafood
Prepare ingredients and components needed for grill/plancha cooking and paella
Follow established procedures and recipes for prepping items
Keep prep area clean, organized, and fully stocked
Maintain proper food handling, labeling, and storage practices
Support cooks during service as needed
Receive and organize deliveries, rotate inventory, and check product quality
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:Prior prep cook or commercial kitchen experience preferred
Ability to handle and prep fish/seafood
Basic knife skills and comfort with kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
