Position: Lab Technician
Location: Wilton Manors, (Greater Fort Lauderdale) FL
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Genesis Health Institute is a premier functional, regenerative, and anti-aging medical practice serving the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomist to support our clinical team and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws with accuracy and patient-centered care
• Collect, label, process, and store laboratory specimens
• Prepare and ship specimens to external reference laboratories
• Perform in-house lab procedures (centrifugation, basic testing, kit preparation)
• Perform IM injections.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Follow all OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of the lab
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as required
• Assist providers and clinical staff with patient flow and clinical procedures
• Deliver professional, compassionate service to all patients

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification (required)
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical or laboratory setting preferred
• Strong venipuncture and specimen handling skills
• Knowledge of lab safety and compliance standards
• Experience with EMR systems (required)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Experience

• Medical office, outpatient clinic, or functional medicine setting
• CLIA-waived laboratory experience
• IV Certification preferred
• Customer-service oriented healthcare role
• Aesthetic procedure knowledge preferred
