Here are a few reasons why this opportunity can prepare you to be a skilled candidate in a highly sought-after position:
1. As an RBT you will gain hands on experience implementing Behavior Analytic strategies and programming while working 1:1 with children ages 3 - 18 years of age. This skill is essential in many fields, including education, healthcare, and research.
3. Collaboration and teamwork: Working as a team member is one of the fundamental experiences of being an RBT. Arrows places special emphasis on developing this skill in employees and provides multiple opportunities for working on interdisciplinary teams that include the BCBA, therapists, teachers, psychiatrists and many other professionals. 4. Communication and documentation: As an RBT you will work closely with the client's family, other RBTs, the BCBA, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care across providers. This includes writing detailed medical notes that document client progress and observations of behavior changes as well as communicating imperative information to all team members that impact client progress. This is a highly valued skill across many professional settings.
5. Ethical and professional standards: With a high priority placed on adherence to the ethical standards set-forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, you will learn how to implement effective treatment and conduct yourself as a professional across multiple settings which is a skill set sought after by employers who place a high value on ethical conduct and professionalism.
