Job Overview
Get paid while gaining real-world experience. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated college students to participate in our Paid Internship Program as Youth Services Consultants. This role involves providing Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and Transition Employment Program (TEP) summer camp support to high school aged students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges.

College students with majors in education, psychology, criminal justice, social work, sociology, counseling, public service, non-profit leadership, or any other human services related fields are high encouraged to apply. As a Youth Services Consultant, you will play a vital role in fostering positive outcomes through personalized service plans, advocacy, and collaboration with families and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support Pre-ETS activities including student assessments, career exploration, postsecondary counseling, self-advocacy, workplace readiness, and work-based learning.
  • Assist with TEP summer programs and youth employment experiences.
  • Help facilitate workshops, activities, and mentoring sessions.
  • Work alongside professional instructors and youth development staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services related to Pre-ETS and TEP.
  • Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and fostering open communication.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, service plans, and outcomes in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Advocate for student rights and ensure their voices are heard within service systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to Pre-ETS and TEP.
