Position: Construction Estimator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Greater Bay Area, California (hybrid with occasional site visits)
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

What You Will Do

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for public and private construction projects including grading, paving, and concrete work

· Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements

· Perform quantity take-offs, material, and labor cost analysis

· Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and supplier bids

· Develop and maintain estimating templates, cost databases, and bid tracking systems

· Collaborate with project management and field operations during pre-construction planning

· Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks as required

· Review and prepare change orders and cost revisions as projects progress

· Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

· 3– 5 years of experience in estimating or project management in civil construction

· Strong understanding of grading, asphalt, and concrete construction methods

· Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents

· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

· Valid California Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating programs

· Familiarity with public works bidding and prevailing wage compliance

· Bilingual (English/Spanish)
