We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting in our daily operations. 

Smash RX is a therapeutic clinic run by a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. It is also the first and only rage room in Southern California to incorporate a therapeutic aspect. One service is not required with the other; meaning some clients would rather engage in traditional talk therapy, while others would just like to smash some glass. 

Because we have such a dynamic work environment, we are looking for either Business, Communications, Healthcare or Psychology Student Interns. Depending on your interest you will be working closely with our team on a plethora of projects. We are looking to create relationships with local businesses, expand our presence on social media and offer the best comprehensive care to our customers. 

To be successful as an Intern, you should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns. 

Job Type: Part-time | Pay: $16.50-$20.00 per hour 

Flexible schedule, minimal commitment of 10 hours a week. Must be available for work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. 

Job: Destruction Care Coordinator  

Job description: Destruction Care Coordinator contributes to the mission statement of Smash RX to create a safe and healthy outlet for customers to release every day normal stress. The Destruction Care Coordinator will provide exceptional customer care that includes setting up, cleaning destruction rooms based on appointments. The Destruction Care Coordinator will see all smash appointments through to full completion.  A large part of Smash RX’s business is smash services, however, the Destruction Care Coordinator will be asked to assist in all aspects of the business. 

Responsibilities: 

Destruction Care Coordinator has the following responsibilities and duties: 

• Provide exceptional customer service and care to all clientele that enters Smash RX. 
• Clearly explain and enforce all safety rules before, during and after every smash session. 
• Provide support in preparation and clean-up of destruction room experience. 
• Lift and move small, medium and large furniture items, using dollies and other furniture moving equipment. 
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.  
• Complete opening or closing duties depending on shift. 
• Must have a positive, professional attitude and demeanor at all times. 
• Maintain a professional appearance. 
• Cope well under pressure. 
• Excellent time management skills. 
• Create images and/or videos for social media posts. 
• Attend weekly networking meetings. 
• Brainstorm ideas on how to bolster relationships with local businesses. 
• Perform additional duties and research at supervisor’s request. 

Relationship Building 

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, supervisors, managers, patrons and the public. 
• Ability to treat others with respect, sensitivity and empathy. 

 Oral and Written Communication 

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, and in writing 
• Ability to listen attentively and understand what is being communicated by subordinate and supervisory staff, the public and managerial staff 
• Ability to review, evaluate and summarize data in writing in terms of trends or general indications of possible problem areas 

Requirements: 

Destruction Care Coordinator should have the following skills, education and experience: 

• High School Diploma/GED. 
• Some College; focus of study: Psychology, Healthcare, Business, or Communication. 
• Outstanding written, verbal and communication skills. 
• Proficiency in website management Google forms and Microsoft programs. 
• 1 year of customer service experience. 
• Must have own transportation validate California Driver’s License. 
• The ability to work well under pressure. 
• A growth-minded individual focused on advancement and self-improvement. 
• Strong social media understanding.
