Manhas Counseling Collective (MCC), LLC is a collaborative and inclusive group practice serving bipoc individuals, couples, and families throughout Washington State. Position Overview

We are currently seeking Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates (LMHC, LMHCAs) in Washington State to join our growing practice as Independent Contractors. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, caseload, and modality (telehealth, in-person, or hybrid), while benefiting from free supervision, credentialing, referrals, and more.

You’ll receive 70% of all collected session fees, with full billing and some administrative support from our team. Whether you’re looking to grow a part-time caseload or build toward full-time, this position offers a supportive and structured path forward.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy to a diverse client base
• Complete intake assessments and create collaborative treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in our EHR
• Adhere to all professional, legal, and ethical standards (HIPAA, DOH, etc.) Uphold the values of inclusion, empathy, and clinical excellence
• Attend supervision sessions (provided by the practice if needed)
• Participate in occasional team meetings or case consultations

        Qualifications

Required:

• Active LMHC, LMHCA license in Washington State
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
• Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• Private, confidential space for telehealth sessions (if applicable)
• Complete and submit a background check to MCC prior to contract start date

Preferred:

• Experience working with bipoc populations and presenting issues as well as demonstrated cultural competency with clients and colleagues you work with
• Interest in developing a long-term caseload
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs)
• Bilingual skills (not required, but a plus)

Additional Information

• This is a 1099 contractor position — you are responsible for your own taxes, CEUs, and liability insurance
