Disabled Resources Center (DRC), located in Long Beach, California, is looking to hire a dynamic Executive Director who has experience with and knowledge of Independent Living Centers (ILC’s). DRC was founded in 1976 as a non-profit 501c3 that serves Los Angeles and Orange counties with a staff of thirteen, and an annual budget over $1M. DRC is an important component for advocacy and services for people of all ages and disabilities in California and throughout the United States.

Programs include Independent Living Services, Assistive Technology, Benefits Assistance, Disaster Preparedness, Employment, Mobility Travel Training, Peer Support, Personal Assistance Services, Transitional Youth, and Information & Referral.

The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency, leads and directs DRC staff and provides support and assistance to members, volunteers, and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will excel at building strong relationships, providing strategic vision and leadership, and displaying superior fundraising and general management skills. Building upon DRC’s past successes, the Executive Director will expand the reach and influence of programs and services and will broaden community and donor support for the organization and its programs.
