Reports To: Marketing & Communications Manager
Hours: 10-15 hours/week (hourly)
Location: Hybrid (some in-person opportunities + remote flexibility)

Position Summary:
MentorKids is seeking a creative, responsible high school student or college student with reliable transportation to support our social media efforts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys content creation, loves capturing moments, and wants hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and nonprofit storytelling. You’ll help create posts, gather photos and videos from programs and events, and share the stories that show the impact MentorKids is making in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and scheduling social media content
• Capture and organize photos/videos at MentorKids programs and events
• Brainstorm fresh content ideas that reflect MentorKids’ mission and voice
• Support community engagement by helping monitor comments/messages (as needed)
• Stay current with social media trends and offer creative suggestions

Qualifications:

• Responsible high school student or current college student
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills and creativity
• Interest in social media, marketing, content creation, or storytelling
• Ability to manage time and work independently
• Must uphold MentorKids’ values and represent the organization well
