The Green House Preschool is a small business in EDUCATION in Fort Lee, NJ. We are collaborative, engaging, inclusive and our goal is to instill in each child a love for learning as well as for themselves. Duties:

- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children ages 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 year olds.

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.

- Teach basic academic skills such as letters, numbers, shapes, and colors.

- Incorporate creative arts, music, and movement into daily activities.

- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents.

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.

- Ensure the health and well-being of all children in the classroom.

Qualifications:

- CDA / ASSOCIATES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD / Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children between 2 and 4 year olds.

- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.

- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

- Ability to pass a background check.

Note: Some experience or knowledge with Creative Curriculum, NJ state standards, Progress Report "Gold", Teaching Strategies or willingness to learn all of the above.

Job Type: Full-time (8AM to 4PM or  9AM to 5PM)

CDA (Child Development Associate Certification), Associates in Early Childhood or BA or 2 years working with young children with a high School diploma
