Title:
Social Media Intern (Part-time)

About the Company:

What’s the Word (WtW) is a creative media platform that amplifies Christian artists of all genres, breaks down meaningful lyrics, and connects faith and music through storytelling. Our mission is to uplift, inspire, and create conversations that move culture forward — one word at a time.

We’re building a faith-centered digital community that blends music, media, and purpose. Join us if you’re passionate about creativity, storytelling, and using your gifts to make a positive impact.

Role Overview:

As a Social Media Intern, you’ll help shape WtW’s voice across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. You’ll edit content, use content scheduling tools, and execute creative storytelling to engage audiences and highlight Christian artists.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real-world experience in social media strategy, branding, and digital marketing — ideal for communications, media, or psychology students interested in creative and mission-driven work or anyone who excels in the world of social media!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review recorded video content (interviews, discussions, or music features) and edit footage into long-form and short-form videos for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Select engaging moments, add captions, transitions, and audio enhancements to create shareable clips.
  • Manage upload-ready files and assist with scheduling posts through social media tools.
  • Collaborate with the founder on creative direction and storytelling style to align with WtW’s mission and tone, helping to maintain visual and brand consistency across all content.
  • Research trending audio, hashtags, and design ideas aligned with faith-based music culture
  • Engage with our audience — comment, share, and grow brand visibility

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong interest in Christian music, media, or creative storytelling
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and content scheduling tools
  • Basic skills in:
    • Canva
    • CapCut
    • Adobe Creative Suite (helpful but not required)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to meet weekly goals
  • Bonus: Photography/videography, video editing, or brand strategy experience

Additional Details:

  • Volunteer role with one time stipend provided
  • Commitment duration is flexible
  • 10–15 hours per week, flexible schedule
  • 100% remote position
  • Open to individuals high school age and older — students or non-students welcome, as long as you have the skills and creative drive.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Real experience building a digital brand from the ground up
  • Portfolio pieces you can showcase in future roles
  • Networking opportunities with renowned artists, producers, songwriters and further engagement in Christian community
  • Flexible hours, remote work, and creative freedom
  • Direct mentorship from founder
  • Potential for the internship to transition into a paid position based on performance and organizational growth
