Hey there!

I'm Jeff Balke, and I'm on the lookout for a few passionate 2D animators to collaborate with me in bringing my original characters—Stanley and Friends—to life. They're the heart of my studio's all ages series, and I’d love to see them move, speak, and shine on screen.

After nearly two decades in comics—coloring for Marvel, Image, Zenescope, and even John Carpenter’s comic company (yep, the creator of Halloween)—I finally carved out space to tell my own stories. That’s when I launched Jeff Balke Studios, my own 2D animation studio where we’ve created original comics and now, 2D animated shorts featuring my characters.
After 18+ years coloring in the comic industry, I've never had an Eisner nominated comic.  But our first comic we've ever created was Eisner nominated, which is the biggest comic award you can get.  That's when I knew I had something ;)

These shorts will premiere on my YouTube channel and hit the road with me for screenings at indie movie houses for open red carpet events.  There’s nothing like watching an audience light up in real time watching your films or shorts. And when they meet the creators of those films or shorts? Instant connection because they see YOU, not a computer screen.
