Prestigious technology society is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to assist the Education and Professional Development (PD) Manager in:

  • Processing/tracking expenses and invoices
  • Providing support for semi-annual in-person and virtual meetings
  • Making regular updates to organization’s education- & PD-related website content
  • Conducting basic online research and refreshing/maintaining databases
  • Drafting, editing, and sending out email bulletins
  • Providing production support for professional development webinars
  • Setting up and tracking academic surveys
  • Liaising with academics, researchers, and professionals in the field of computing as needed
  • Researching key industry trends
  • Assisting Education & PD Manager on other projects as necessary

Basic Requirements:

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized
  • Excellent writing/editing/proofreading and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter, analytical thinker
  • Comfort with basic HTML a plus, content management systems, Microsoft Office, Zoom, social media (especially YouTube)
  • Past experience in office/administrative work or equivalent college experience

Interest in computing, STEM/technology, and/or education a strong plus. Experience with not-for-profit organizations, academia, member associations, and volunteer management a plus.

The hours are flexible and would average around 12-18 hours a week.
