Job Description:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at iCare Kidiatric Therapy. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services to children with developmental disabilities, helping them build independence and improve their ability to engage in everyday activities. Ideal candidates will have at least six months of experience in a similar role, but we also welcome recent graduates who have worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and are passionate about making a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by OTs to address children's specific needs and goals, including activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care tasks, and play skills.
  • Conduct sessions in the client’s home (you choose the zip code you want to work in).
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions to children under the supervision of licensed OTs, based on the most current evidence based therapeutic approach.
  • Engage children and families/caregivers in therapy sessions, providing education and support on strategies to promote skill development and independence at home and in the community.
  • Monitor children's progress regularly through ongoing assessments and document treatment sessions and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for therapy sessions, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and infection control protocols are followed.
  • Participate in team meetings, and collaborative care planning sessions to discuss children's progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent.
  • Valid AZ COTA License
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, especially ASD, CP, down syndrome, 6 months preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPR/ First Aid/ Article 9 Training
  • Professional Liability Insurance
