Position Overview

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Reading Tutor to join our team on a contract basis.
This part-time role is ideal for an educator passionate about literacy instruction and helping elementary-age learners succeed.

Tutors begin teaching online only, using our provided lesson plans and materials.
As we grow, you may also participate in community events (about 10% of your time) — representing Accomplished Kids alongside other company representatives to provide onsite reading assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 or small-group online reading lessons using Accomplished Kids’ structured literacy curriculum.
Support students in decoding, fluency, comprehension, and confidence building.
Track and record student progress after sessions using our system.
Communicate professionally with families and staff as needed.
Participate occasionally in community events (literacy fairs, school nights, or library sessions).
Share or create light social-media content (approved educational or Accomplished Kids-related posts).
Attend brief virtual team check-ins and trainings as scheduled.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required) — Education, Reading, or related field preferred.
3 years of reading instruction or tutoring experience (elementary level ideal).
Comfortable teaching online using Zoom or similar platforms.
Excellent communication, reliability, and organizational skills.
Passionate about helping struggling readers succeed.
Willingness to occasionally represent Accomplished Kids in community settings.

Hours Available

Monday–Friday:
2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturdays available if you elect to work on Saturdays
Compensation

Contract position – paid hourly per session.
Rate commensurate with experience.
Opportunities for expanded hours and event participation pay.
Growth Path

All tutors begin as contractors, with opportunities to advance into long-term or employee positions as Accomplished Kids expands.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
