About the role (admin-first)
This is a hands-on, administrative internship at a small, fast-moving law firm. It’s ideal for undergraduate students who want practical exposure to how a criminal/personal injury practice actually operates day to day. While you may observe legal work, ~80–90% of the internship is administrative support that keeps cases and the office moving.
What you’ll do (primary duties)
Front-office & phones: answer calls, take messages, route inquiries, greet clients
Scheduling: confirm appointments, coordinate attorney calendars, track deadlines
File management: scan, copy, name, and organize digital/physical files; close/archive files
Data entry: update CRMs/spreadsheets; maintain contact lists and case logs
Mail & errands: prepare outgoing mail, run postage, deliver/collect documents (court/clerks)
Office upkeep: inventory supplies, set up conference room, prep packets/binders
Occasional legal-adjacent tasks (as assigned)
Basic fact gathering (intake forms, records requests)
Formatting exhibits, printing discovery, assembling hearing/trial binders
Court observation when timing allows
Note: Substantive legal research/writing is limited and not the core of this internship.

Proficiency with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office; learns new systems quickly
Able to lift/carry banker’s boxes occasionally and be on your feet for short errands
