Youth Mentor – REACH Through Education

Location: North Houston (near 610 / 290)

Position Type: Part time | Paid Training Provided

Pay: $15–$25/hour

About Us

REACH Through Education is an educational mentorship organization that supports middle and high school students (ages 11–17) in their academic, emotional, physical, and mental development.

We combine academic coaching with social-emotional learning (SEL), executive functioning strategies, and conscious living practices to help students build confidence, resilience, and balance both in and out of the classroom.

Position Overview

We are seeking college students or recent graduates who are passionate about youth development and interested in learning how to mentor teens. Mentors receive comprehensive training before being paired with students and ongoing support throughout the program.

Responsibilities

Provide academic support and homework guidance to students ages 11–17

Teach executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and focus

Help students develop emotional regulation and stress management techniques

Encourage growth-oriented mindsets and goal setting

Communicate progress and observations with the REACH Through Education team

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university

Interest in education, psychology, counseling, youth development, or a related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Dependable, organized, and compassionate

Willingness to travel within North Houston (near 610 / 290)
