Job Summary
We are seeking personable, organized and responsible staff members to sell our Three Bluebirds Swedish dishcloths. We will have two booth locations: The Bryant Park Winter Holiday Market (Oct 24-January 4) and The Union Square Holiday Market (November 14 - December 23). Must be available to work 3-5 shifts per week. Shifts run 4-5 hours long. The needed time slots are between 2pm-9pm M-F.

All staff members must be enthusiastic, well spoken and knowledgable about our product. They must be passionate about sustainability and eager to promote our product. They must be punctual, positive, able to engage customers effectively. and ensure that the booth is kept well organized, very tidy and clean.

Duties

• Be prompt for all shifts.
• Greet customers warmly. Eyes on the aisle, not on the phone.
• Explain our product, showcasing its features and benefits.
• Be positive and passionate about sustainability.
• Operate the POS system (Square) accurately, processing transactions efficiently.
• Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves, and ensuring product displays and the entire booth are visually appealing and tidy.
• Apply basic math skills.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail and customer service.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle financial transactions accurately.
