About:

We are looking for a creative and organized individual to join our team as an Artist Studio Assistant to a conceptual artist in the Bay Area! As an assistant to the artist in his studio, you will play a key role in supporting the artist in their daily tasks, as well as helping with the overall operations of the studio. 

The assistant will be expected to complete tasks in a timely manner! Assistant must have some art knowledge/ background.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the artist with various tasks such as preparing materials, setting up workspaces, and organizing supplies
• Take, edit and produce photos and multi media content 
• Use scroll saw to cut wood 
• Help with the production of artwork by assisting with painting, sculpting, or other artistic processes
• Maintain a clean and organized studio space
• Organize studio equipment and supplies
• Assist in the packing and shipping of artwork
• Help with administrative tasks such as managing inventory, taking phone calls, and scheduling appointments
• Collaborate with the artist on potential projects and provide creative input

Qualifications:

• Woodcutting experience/ scroll saw experience required 
• Previous experience working in an artist studio or creative environment preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of art materials and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient with camera and photoshop 

Education:

BA/BS Preferred

Arts Experience Needed
