Position Summary

Job Title: Part-Time Warehouse-Office and Fulfillment Associate
Location: Augusta, GA – In-Office
Employment Type: Part-Time (Minimum 20-25 hours/week)
Work Hours: Typical hours 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with flexibility based on performance
Reports To: Operations Manager

The Part-Time Warehouse-Office and Fulfillment Associate is responsible for performing a combination of warehouse tasks (packaging, picking, packing, and shipping orders) and office duties (processing documentation and maintaining records). This role requires physical stamina, computer literacy, strong attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory management within a dynamic manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

  • Receiving and Storage: Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring proper organization and inventory accuracy.
  • Packaging Products: Carefully package and label products to ensure safe delivery, adhering to company standards for quality and presentation.
  • Pick, Pack, and Ship: Accurately pick items from inventory, pack orders, and prepare them for shipping, ensuring correct labeling and documentation using carriers like UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular counts, assist with full inventory audits, and report discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate records.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects before packing; ensure all orders meet quality standards.
  • Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment; adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Office Duties

  • Documentation: Prepare and process shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels for UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, reports, and filing systems related to materials, inventory, and shipments.
  • Administrative Support: Assist management with administrative tasks, such as data entry, report generation, and other projects as assigned.
  • Computer Use: Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory/ERP software, and Microsoft Office to track orders, update inventory, and generate shipping labels.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred, but not required; on-the-job training provided.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory/ERP software, and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform moderate physical activities such as bending and operating equipment.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in basic computer operations, including navigating warehouse management software, email, label printing systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure correct order fulfillment, inventory tracking, and documentation.
  • Motivation: Self-starter with a proactive attitude, eager to contribute to team success and meet performance goals.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
  • Availability: Able to commit to a minimum of 20-25 hours per week, with typical hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Schedule flexibility may be offered based on performance and operational needs.

Working Conditions

  • Work is split between a warehouse environment (with exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and typical manufacturing conditions) and an office setting.
  • Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating equipment in the warehouse, as well as prolonged computer use in the office.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, gloves) may be required and will be provided.
