Junkman Removal & Disposal Services is a locally owned junk removal and hauling company serving the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area since 2016. Based in Clinton, MD, we handle everything from small curbside pickups to full house cleanouts and community contracts. We’re expanding our on-call crew to keep up with customer demand and are seeking reliable independent contractors to join us.

Job Description

We are looking for hardworking, dependable laborers to assist with junk removal jobs on an as-needed basis. Contractors will work alongside our Junkman team lead to lift, load, and haul furniture, debris, appliances, and other bulky items.

This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Contractors may be called for same-day or next-day assignments and are free to accept or decline jobs. You’ll either meet at our Clinton, MD location to ride with the truck or meet directly at the assigned job site.

Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading junk removal trucks at residential and commercial job sites.

Safely lift and carry heavy furniture, appliances, and debris (50+ lbs).

Maintain a professional, respectful attitude with customers while on-site.

Follow safety protocols and instructions from the team lead.

Provide before/after jobsite photos if dispatched directly.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old.

Physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.

Reliable transportation to Clinton, MD (or directly to job sites).

Availability for on-call work during weekdays and some weekends.

Basic PPE (gloves, boots, work clothes).

Previous moving, landscaping, demolition, or junk removal experience is a plus.

Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes as 1099 workers.

Schedule

On-call basis — jobs may be scheduled same-day, next-day, or planned in advance.

Typically 30min–1hour per job depending on size.

Flexibility: you choose which assignments you accept.

Compensation

$40–$60 per load (or $120–$150 per day for larger projects).

Same-day pay available via Cash App and or Zelle

Paid as 1099 independent contractor income.
