Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 2.5 (preferred)
Must complete a background check prior to working with students
Strong interest in working with children and families, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule (minimum 10 hours per week)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be flexible, and work collaboratively with staff
Internship DutiesAssist lead teachers in delivering lessons and managing small group instruction
Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide one-on-one academic coaching where needed
Help facilitate enrichment electives such as art, music, gardening, and character-building activities
Supervise and engage students during classroom, community, and volunteer experiences
Assist with preparation of materials, classroom setup, and record-keeping
Participate in field trips, family engagement events, and community service projects
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as appropriate
Contribute to fostering a safe, inclusive, and purpose-driven learning environment
