*JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Collaborate and work with a co-teacher regarding learning how to care for infants and toddlers 6 weeks to 36 months old
- Opportunity to be mentored in infant/toddler care, and gain hands-on experience in an infant/toddler classroom
*QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 12 Child Development units (Infant/Toddler units REQUIRED)
- Fingerprint Clearance
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Training
- Up-to-date Vaccinations
- Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training
Skills:
- Experience working with young children in a childcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Ability to manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured and engaging learning environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, flexibility, and creativity to adapt lessons and activities to meet individual needs
Note: A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience will also be considered.
