Mathnasium (------------/annandale), a math-only learning center in Annandale, Va is looking for math instructors to work with students in grades K-12. Mathnasium's curriculum is based on Teaching Children through Trained Instructors and a thoroughly researched method of "Assessment" and Creating a "Individualized Learning plan to best assist them and make learning Math FUN.

1) Strong grasp of mathematics through High School level and willingness to learn new approach through web based training to teach math.

2) Successfully pass a math fluency test.

3) Ability to deliver math to kids of all ages and skill levels in an engaging and encouraging way

4) Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with parents .

5) Patience, empathy towards children and ability to multi-task.

6) Availability of at least 2 days per week mid-afternoon through evening hours Monday thru Thursday and Saturday mornings.

7) Responsibilities include assisting center director in maintaining effective up-to-date instructional materials and an organization in the center with operational functions and material organization, cleanliness of the center and creating a well prepared learning environment.

8) Hourly pay starting at $14 to $18 /hour is determined by experience.
