I am needing a caregiver to sit with my adult disabled 25 yo son.   He has a lot of health issues and requires someone in the home with him at all times.   He is capable of bathing and toileting on his own and does not need help with these things, there just has to be someone here to listen as he is at risk of seizures.   Seizures are medication controlled at this time but the precaution is still needed.   He also needs help with meal preparation and light housekeeping.   Keeping his room clean and bathroom clean.   We have a housekeeper that comes biweekly so this would just be minimal upkeep.   

He is living with a lot of chronic pain from other health issues and medications may need to be given.   We have a Hero Medication dispensing machine that dispenses his scheduled medications.   Pain medications, antinausea and emergency seizure medications are the only things that may need to be given outside that schedule.   

He is having both hips replaced soon.   He is currently either using a walker or a wheelchair depending on the pain level at the time but he can transfer himself from the bed to the chair and/or walker on his own 99 percent of the time, he just needs someone to monitor to make sure he doesn't fall.   He is a fall risk.   

 Once surgery is complete we are hoping he will be back to full mobility.  I will also need someone that can go with him to physical therapy post surgery.   I will provide the transportation service. 

This job would be a few days a week, mostly evenings other than the physical therapy.  Most likely 12 - 15 hours a week.  Someone to stay with him while I leave for much needed breaks.  Making sure he eats, takes his medications and is safe in the home.  Watching TV with him, encouraging him to engage in healthy things like playing his piano, journaling, drawing, etc.
