We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee operations at both our Charlotte Hall and California facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, managing nursing staff, and implementing best practices across both locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in nursing.
Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00
Summary: The Nurse Manager works collaboratively with operations and medical teams to ensure that nursing staff and services meet regulatory and agency standards of care.
Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:
- Manage the nursing schedule based on the agency’s established staffing structures for full-time, part-time, and PRN positions.
- The position is on call 24/7 and is responsible for covering any RN shifts that need coverage.
- Work collaboratively with the Program Director to ensure that all nursing staff are compliant with nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure that nursing staff follow established detox protocols at all times, complete vitals per protocols, and complete COWS/CIWA accurately and on time.
- Ensure that nursing staff process admissions efficiently and effectively, as well as streamline admissions when they arrive at unanticipated times.
- Ensure that nursing staff maintain comprehensive and accurate EMR and MAR documentation.
- Manage DEA log and narcotic count sheet.
- Complete nursing chart audits regularly to ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to medical preparation for surveys; interact with state reviewers; provide feedback and documentation as needed.
- Work with the Program Director to ensure that nursing staffing needs are met and nurses understand their scope of practice as it relates to their individual licenses.
- Respond to and effectively resolve all related client and staff concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Licensure, Education, and Experience:
- Requires a valid RN license in the state of Maryland.
- 3 or more years of experience supervising medical staff preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of experience working with substance use/psychiatric demographics in residential or inpatient settings preferred.
- Ability to use EMRs effectively.
- Working knowledge of state regulations related to services rendered.
