Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and energetic Bartender (experience preferred) who can also assist in waiter/waitress duties/Barista and maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar/floor area. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and consistently delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Bartending:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, coffee, wine, and more.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, drink recipes, and specials.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state and local laws, including checking IDs to verify age, knowledge of local alcohol laws, preparing garnishes, maintaining bar equipment, and rotating stock to ensure freshness.

Server Duties:

• Clear and reset tables, refill condiments, assist with food running, and ensure the dining area is stocked with napkins, silverware, and condiments.
• Take food and beverage orders from customers.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and accurately.
• Address customer inquiries and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

• Regularly clean and sanitize bar area, tables, glassware, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure bar inventory is well-stocked and organized.
• Conduct regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.

Cash Handling:

• Manage cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Handle opening and closing cash registers, maintaining accuracy at all times.

POS System:

• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently for order-taking and transactions.
• Accurately input orders and reconcile daily sales reports.

Inventory Management:

• Regularly assist with inventory counts and ordering of supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Promotion & Events:

• Assist in planning and executing promotional activities or special events such as happy hours, live entertainment, or trivia nights.

Bar Setup and Breakdown:

• Responsible for daily opening and closing tasks, including setup and breakdown of bar areas.

Barista Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, drip coffee, and specialty hot beverages.
• Operate espresso machines and grinders properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and restock beans, syrups, and other supplies.

Knowledge of Pairings:

• Suggest beverage pairings with food menu items to enhance guest experience.

Billiard Hall Responsibilities:

• Properly assign billiard tables and balls to customers, be sure to track table time.

Customer Service:

• Engage positively with customers, fostering a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Actively upsell by suggesting additional menu items or premium beverages.
• Handle customer complaints effectively, escalating to management when necessary.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth operation and high service standards.
• Assist other staff as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and staff meetings.

Compliance:

• Maintain awareness and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending and server experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
• Certification in Responsible Alcohol Service (preferred but not mandatory; must be willing to obtain).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting/moving beer kegs at times.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and movements.
