Kinderdance® is an international company established in 1979. The programs encourage children to explore movement through music while developing their physical skills, stimulating their imagination, and promoting their creativity. Kinderdance® NOLA is gearing up to serve families in New Orleans, Metairie, and Jefferson, LA. Classes are taught at local childcare centers, community centers, and schools.

Role Description

• This is a part-time on-site role for Dance, Fitness, and/or Yoga Instructors at Kinderdance® NOLA.
• Classes are for children of varying ages (2-12 years old).
• Classes are vary between 30-60 min. Multiple classes can be scheduled at centers within the same day.
• We serve centers in New Orleans, Metairie, and Jefferson, LA.
• Instructors will be responsible for doing assigned online training prior to teaching classes. Training time will be compensated., and teaching dance classes, sport readiness classes, and/or yoga classes to children of varying ages (2-12 years old).
• Instructor with maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio or classroom of the center the class is taught at.

Qualifications

• Dance, fitness, yoga, or teaching experience preferred
• Experience with children
• 18+ years old with own reliable transportation
• Must have good exercise tolerance, classes are very active and physical
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible individual with good time management skills
• Must be willing to have a background check
• Ability to work with children and create a fun, positive learning atmosphere!

Class Descriptions (Employee may choose to teach one type of class or multiple):

• Kinderdance®: (ages 3-5) teaches the basics of ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement.
• Kindertots®: (age 2) teaches gross motor skills, movement creativity, flexibility and coordination, body awareness, and communication skills while focusing on pre-academic readiness.
• Kindermotion®: (ages 3-12) sports readiness program focused on team building and building positive self esteem while emphasizing fitness, nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle.
• Kinderyoga®: (ages 3-12) explores yoga in a way that increases communication and listening skills, decreases impulsivity, and instills an appreciation for self and others.
• Kindergym®: (ages 3-5) developmental floor gymnastics, acrobatics, and tumbling program that emphasizes social and gross motor development.
